About Us

TRIMMER is the Wilton Manors area’s first magazine for the hirsute (hairy) man. Our publication deals strictly with men’s health, lifestyle and vanity. It’s about making you feel good, live well and look even better! We will feature articles about men’s hair styles, losing weight and keeping trim, products for your body, services for your mind, as well as accessories like watches, jewelry, hats and much more. Our mission is to help empower the ‘Bears’ and ‘Otters’, as well as other hirsute men to be health conscious, fit and trim. Always absolutely sexy, yet keeping it classy; our goal is to make this publication one of the highest-quality fashion and style magazines in Florida.

from 2012 to 2015, we published the first strictly-online magazine for the gay men’s community called HIM Magazine, For the Man Who Invests In Himself, which over three years, grew from zero to over 16,000 readers each month. It was a labor of love; Dave Griffiths and Editor, Alex Vaughn, filled it with over 25 multimedia features each month, ranging on numerous topics “from Manscaping to Landscaping,” over three years it grew to over 300 features and thousands of followers on social media.

TRIMMER will be along the same lines, but we realized the need for a monthly printed edition, as well as a strong social media presence and online shopping portal, in addition to multimedia features and articles about style, fashion, men’s health and fitness on trimmermag.com.

Of course, locals may recognize an homage to The Rimmer. It was a fetish magazine published first by Peter “Guido” Renaldo, and then just recently published by Ramrod bartender, Chance Taffer. Both of these men have since passed on, but as both were dear friends, we would like to remember them and the work they have done for the HIV/AIDS community here in South Florida through their publication.

Our staff has a combined experience of over 30 years in the publishing and advertising fields. Our experience in the publishing industry makes this venture an exciting endeavor. With the experience as Art Director for numerous other publications, as well as publishing an online magazine, the combination of what worked and what didn’t will help grow TRIMMER Magazine and the TrimmerMag.com brand.

Take a look at this video we produced while promoting HIM Magazine, because much of it applies to what we’re doing here with TRIMMER. Stay tuned! We’ve got more great announcements to come.
